Hacienda Pozo Azul is located in the heart of the Sarapiquí Rainforest. Sustainably operated and awarded the highest level of the ICT’s Certificate of Sustainable Tourism. This 2500-acre property is a private reserve embedded in the rainforest with vast rivers, mountains, and valleys with some farming activities like reforestation, cattle and agricultural products.
What to expect
The Sarapiquí River is known as the scenic river of Costa Rica’s tropical rain forest, with 35 Kilometers through forest reserves, stunning views and full of enjoyment for all. You will enjoy 11 Km of truly white waters rapids class IV, available only for the expert and physically fitted. This adventure is for the experienced and the physically fit people, with 12 class IV rapids in 11 Km, very exciting and technical. Experience and good physical condition is a must.
