What to expect

Costa Rica provides Canopy experiences that take your adrenaline to top levels going high above the treetops and Horseback Riding to fascinating trails. Now you can enjoy the two activities in an extraordinary way.

Discover the natural marvels of Sarapiquí; an extensive territory located in the northeastern side of the country, with a variety of crystal clear rivers, an abundance of beautiful tropical forests and villages inhabited by friendly and laborious people. Leaving San José (about 90 minutes away from San José) the tour traverses the majestic scenery of Braulio Carrillo National Park. Upon arrival in Sarapiquí, we will enjoy two adventurous attractions: the Canopy Tour in the middle of a secondary forest with trees of high altitude and after lunch the Horseback Riding Tour.

The Canopy Tour takes about an hour and a half and the nine cables of different length stretch over the forest with the last one crossing the Sarapiquí River. Horses are our specialty, we have raised them for generations and have selected for you horses of certified good health, strong, and well trained.

Hacienda Pozo Azul’s many internal trails and solitary back roads are just what you would like for real adventure on a horse. We provide the ideal route and length of the tour, trained guides with radio communication will provide a safer ride on this beautiful and wild scenery, for an unforgettable experience.
