Itinerary
9:00 a.m.
Approximate pick-up time at your hotel to start your journey to Arenal. On the way you will have the opportunity to admire some of the most important coffee plantations in Costa Rica. Your guide will explain the evolution of this product and its important role in the history of this country. You will pass by the villages of Sarchí, Naranjo, and San Ramón.
1:30 p.m.
Arrival in the town of La Fortuna, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch – included – in one of the local restaurants.
2:30 p.m.
Approximate arrival time at the Tabacón Grand Spa and Thermal Resort. You will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of these thermal waters, as you sit back and enjoy in one of the many pools.
6:30 p.m.
A delicious buffet dinner at the resort’s restaurant will be served. After dinner you will be driven to your hotel in the area where you will overnight.
7:00 a.m.
An excellent breakfast is included at your hotel.
8:00 a.m.
Departure to the Peñas Blancas River, where you will feel the sights and sounds of the rainforest and the peace they radiate as you paddle quietly down the Peñas Blancas River. The guide will be sharing with you the history of the flora and fauna you encounter on your journey. You may be able to observe monkeys, sloths, iguanas, crocodiles and an incredible number of tropical birds.
12:30 p.m.
Return to your hotel for a delicious lunch before returning to San José.
