The National Park is a combination of beautiful beaches, coral reefs and a tropical rainforest where you can easily observe some of the many species of monkeys, sloths, frogs, butterflies and more.
What to expect
We will pick you up from your hotel and drive you in a microbus to the village of Cahuita. There you will meet your captain and guide who will take you by boat to the coral reef where you will go snorkeling for two hours at two different points in the Cahuita National Park. Afterward, you will go to the beach to rest and have a snack of tropical fruit. Next, you will start a 1 hour half guided hike through the National Park.
The coral reef of this park includes about 26.468 ha, there are 123 different species of fish, 44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish and 1281 various algae that have been identified so far.
You also can observe 35 different coral species such as fire coral, and the red and black coral which is unique to this area. At the end of the hike, the car will take you back to your hotel.
